This weekend was a very fun and packed time. The girls had a blast with a friend who spent the night and we enjoyed the somewhat nice weather even if it was overcast. We are ready for warmer weather for sure. Brandon and I both got in our six miles for the race this weekend. For some reason the run this weekend was very hard. My legs felt tight and I couldn't get into it at all.
On Thursday, our small group girls got to try the endless chocolate and cheese at Melting Pot and it was yum. For only $20 you can eat all the cheese and chocolate you want!! The turtle chocolate was really good and the pecans made it.
And who doesn't love homemade pizza? My favorite was our sausage, portobello mushroom and red onion pizza. I used a crust recipe from the Pioneer Woman, but subbed one cup of wheat flour for white flour. It does make the texture a little chewier if you don't like that. And I used San Marzano tomatoes. Seriously the best tomato sauce ever. The plum tomatoes from Italy are handpicked during only certain months. You need these guys in your life.
Sophie had a fun and cute teddy bear clinic field trip at a hospital with her preschool on Thursday. She got to put a cast on her cat's tail. It was super cute.
And we had a great time at church on Sunday. I love our new church and it's nice to have a place the kids love! Ava and Sophie also headed to open gym at gymnastics and it was worth it because Sunday night they were out! Hope you have a great week. Only three more weeks until we head to Disney. The girls are getting excited.
