Back to School Wahoo!

It's like Christmas day around here since we went back to school shopping for the girls and a little bit for Ryder. Virginia has a sales tax holiday on the first weekend of August and I'm not kidding when I say Ohio needs to get on the wagon!

Plus, Nordstrom is having their anniversary sale until tomorrow! So, we got 13 items, including three pairs of shoes for a great deal. I won't tell you how much we spent, but I calculated the sale and sales tax being exempt and figured that we saved close to $200!

I did loads of research and knew the girls needed dress shoes and Ryder needed new running shoes since he had grown a size. The girls are pretty much at the same size they have been since last year and the sales lady said that was pretty normal.  I think the kids had so much fun and loved the fish tank and balloons. And afterwards we celebrated the school season with our annual fun trip out to eat.

We tried a new pho restaurant in town that had gotten rave reviews for being child friendly and having great pho soup. Pho 1 Grill at Short Pump was so good! Ryder loved eating the bean sprouts and the girls enjoyed the sesame chicken. Brandon and I really liked the pho soup, the owner even showed us all of the amazing spices that are put in the broth to steep for no less than five hours. I also loved the chilled beer glass for the yum Fat Tire beer we ordered! It paired great with the soup, which was very spicy with the siracha.

Have a great weekend! Here are the shoes we purchased. Sophie loved them so much that we had to tear them away from her at bedtime. She wanted to wear them to bed.

Rosie and Bloom now $29.99/After sale

And we also purchased the New Balance Shoes 990 in grey. My blog is acting wonky and won't let me link and post photos from the site so I just did the shoes we purchased.

Along with great clothes from Tea Collection, Tucker and Tate and a couple of fun shirts the girls picked out.

We start school the first week of September so we still have some fun things in store. We want to go to the beach, visit Luray Caverns and go to the pool more.
